Who's the Sexy Bitch?

David Guetta and Akon have been searching for the sexy bitch. So I decided to do some Sherlock Holmes myself. After lots of Googling, I finally found the Sexy Bitch. Here's the photo.

This is what I call ManWhore, you know what I'm saying?

Note: There is really a song called Sexy Bitch by David Guetta and Akon

Netbook Rivals, Nokia Coming!

After my post about N900 Tablet PC by Finnish Giant, Nokia, here comes another one of their arsenal. Now it's in the form of a netbook.

Je vous presente (I present you) Nokia First Netbook. The picture below is taken from AllAboutSymbian.com.

This big version of N-series is packed with 3G, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and anything a handphone should have, they have also. Even a camera for video call! Expect more stuff coming out next week as it is Nokia World event, I am waiting for their 12 MPX phone I wrote about last time, hope they will announce this time around.

Watch out Dell, HP and Acer, Finnish people are very sneaky one.

Cheers Nokia Fan, N900 Coming Your Way!

For those who are very unhappy about Nokia 5800 XM and Nokie N97. Here's a good news, apparently Nokia has developed a new arsenal to be the next iPhone Killer, is gonna screw iPhone so quick, it doesn't even know what hit them. Cunning Finnish [No, not typo, it's People of Finland].

Anyway, Nokia always cannot keep their phone secret, always got leak. That's why I advice you never get a Finnish wife, you will never know who she leak into. The leak phone is codenamed RX-51 or named N900 and expect to be out around Autumn 2009, that's like September to November. Here are the photos taken from Mobile-Review.

Such wonderful design with a QWERTY keyboard with shiny interface. This is truly an iPhone Fucker Killer!

Penang: The Food Heaven

THREADED POST: Updated on 23/8/2009
ADDED:
Penang Island - Teo Chew Cendol, Curry Chee Cheong Fun, Belacan Fried Chicken

Food

Penang Island
Tour Guide: Renae and Wei Vern

MUA ZI

ISLAND GLADES

The Mua Zi at Island Glades is very nice, got very nice peanuty smell. And the Mua Zi is cut into small small pieces so that more surface will stick to the peanut powder. I miss it very much.

BANANA LEAF RICE

SRI ANANDA BAHWAN AT INDIAN STREET, GEORGETOWN

From what I was told, Banana Leaf Rice is a south indian cuisine. After I tried it twice, one in Penang, another in Klang, like both very much. The thing is pretty much the same.

The banana leaf they use is really very fragant. I love all the things served on the leaf except the vegetable which really does not suit my taste.

If you are thinking of trying, please be prepare to feel awkward. The time we ate this, the whole restaurant are black skin except two white skin eating in the middle. It's a nice experience though.

OH JIEN

NEW LANE

Oh Jien is always my favourite. Penang Oh Jien is different from their Sarawak cousin in terms for taste but it's still very nice.

Of course, this one cannot beat the Oh Jien made by Jing Zhi's mum lar. Her Oh Jien got the Teo Chew-ish, cannot explain in words, you have to try it to understand it!

PORK HOR FUN

NEW LANE

Seem nice? The taste is even nicer. This pork hor fun is probably the best I have ever eaten (No exaggeration).

The pork slice and organ are all damn nice plus the pork balls are freaking bouncy, like the one in the movie God of Cookery, You must really try this when you come to Penang.

PENANG CHAR KUEY TEOW

NEW LANE

Penang Char Kuey Teow no need much introduction. This the thing you MUST eat when you step on Penang. Seriously. Or else people will laugh at you, tease you, say you are a loser. Ok lar, maybe not that bad but still you must try.

The one I tried at New Lane is very nice, different from the one I eat in Miri though. But Penang Char Kuey Teow is expensive, three bucks for a handful of kuey teow only.

PENANG ICE KACANG

NEW LANE

One thing I love Penang Island Ice Kacang is their topping of ice cream. Apart from that, it's not much different from other state Ice Kacang.

But the ice cream does make a difference, the chill from the ice kacang add with the chill from the ice cream is very ermm... chilly! And both taste compliment each other, very nice indeed!

BELACAN FRIED CHICKEN
NEW LANE

This is like the Penang Version of KFC except they have 12 Secret Herbs and Spices. The 12th is the Belacan if you don't know. Anyway, the taste is very nice and it's very crunchy. Worth trying for all you food hunters out there.

CURRY CHEE CHEONG FUN
NEW LANE

This Curry Chee Cheong Fun is very delicious, the smooth Chee Cheong Fun coupled with the right curry taste, truly exceptional. I won't say it's the best but it's worth eating!

TEO CHEW CENDOL
UPPER PENANG ROAD

This is another one of those stalls where people swarm and the customer flow doesn't stop. It's very easy to find the stall, just see the stall that has many working class people in full suit eating cendol standing up. The cendol is indeed very nice, heck, even Phua Chu Kang came to here!

Seberang Prai

Tour Guide: Eu Joon

MEE JAWA

BUKIT MERTAJAM OPEN AIR MARKET

Jia Haur has always been screaming want to go back Bukit Mertajam eat Mee Jawa. After I eat it, I understand why already. This mee jawa's taste is very heavy, you can feel the sweetness and spice in the gravy. Like it very much.

I must say the portion the tauke give is very generous indeed and the price is cheap. Beat the mee jawa sold at my secondary school koperasi? Definitely.

DUCK EGG CHAR KUEY TEOW

ROADSIDE STALL AT BUKIT MERTAJAM

This one is the Bukit Mertajam famous Duck Egg Char Kuey Teow, a variant of the famous Penang Char Kuey Teow.

The uncle fried the char kuey teow so nice until I can smell the fragrance before it reaches my table. The taste? Very nice, compareble to Penang Char Kuey Teow.

Hey, don't take me word for it. See the crowd at the stall during midnight. It's full! People are willing to stand to wait for a vacant table. This is a sign for good food being served there.

Disappointingly, the duck egg makes no difference. Not sure why he decide to add duck egg. Anyway, you must try if you come to the jungle surrounded Bukit Mertajam.

YAM RICE AND LO BAK

SOMEWHERE AT CHAI LENG PARK

When people talk about good food at Chai Leng Park, they will usually talk about yam rice. Yea, the yam rice is pretty nice and you won't find a lot of this in Penang Island.

The yam rice comes with two choices, one is soy sauce pork leg and the other is pig organ soup. The taste of the rice is very nice, coupled with the pork is really heavenly.

Another thing you must try is the Lo Bak, I dunno why is it called like that when it should be Lok Lok but this one is nice too. Must really try these two food when you come here.

The dim sum? Normal only, no need to try. Honestly.

Lo Bak Dim Sum Yam Rice

TWO COLOUR SOYA BEAN

PENANG SENTRAL FOOD COURT

As soon as I reached Butterworth bus station, I quickly went to the food court near by and bought a glass of dau zui to quench my thirst. To my amazement, it comes with two colour just like the three colour tea you can find in Sarawak.

Anyway, it's just soya bean plus palm sugar or gula melaka. According to Vern, apparently this is popular throughout the whole Penang. Hmmm, maybe I can bring back this idea to Sarawak.

Next time if you don't know what to drink in Penang, just order this, damn cun, no regrets!

Two Colour Soya Bean

Penang Panorama

As predicted, this sem will be so busy until cannot update blog. Anyway, I manage to squeeze sometime during the weekend.

Penang, apart from the money collecting from "Car Park Officer" and those money-minded fucking Tau Ke Niong [More on that in the future], she is actually a nice place to tour around. Good food, good people, good transportation and of course good panorama!

Here are some pictures I took at Penang, hope you like it! [Click Photo to Enlarge]

According to Vern, last time Georgetown used to have tram, and here's the leftover tracks

Typical scene at Rifle's Range, if I am not wrong, I have a good friend who stayed here

Georgetown taken from ferry, reminds me of Hong Kong

Then, suddenly I see the storm start ravaging Penang Island

First, it eats up Penang Island, you still can see the shape of KOMTAR in the rain

Then, it consumes our ferry and move on to Butterworth

The once famous Penang Port during sunset

Then we went up to Penang Hill, trouble Eu Joon for accompanying us. If I am not wrong, he went there many many many times already

N73 Sweep Panorama in action

Olympus' turn to show off. Much better quality, you can even see Bukit Mertajam at the back!

Next stop, panorama of Ipoh from Kledang Hill, need to find time to climb that bloody tall mountain!

Anyway, if you ask me between KL and Penang which one I like more, I would probably say Penang. It's just so wonderful especially the food and the scenery! Not sure why KL doesn't have hills or mountains. [Correct me if I am wrong]

Additional conclusion, mobile phone camera will always lose compact camera =)

Perak: The Hidden Treasure

THREADED POST: Updated on 15/8/2009

ADDED:
Ipoh - Wan Tan Mee and Honey Chicken

Kampar - Curry Chicken Bread and Chee Cheong Fun

Bidor - Duck Noodles and Yam Char Siew

Food

Ipoh
Tour Guide: Wei Shin

BEAN SPROUT CHICKEN

LOU WONG/ ONN KEE

If you tell anyone you just came back from Ipoh, the first thing they will probably ask you is "Have you tried their bean sprout chicken?" Bean sprout chicken it's like the official dish of Ipoh.

Anyway, there are two restaurant situated side by side offering the same thing. One is Lou Wong, the founder and Onn Kee. Both are nice but I find that Onn Kee is nicer because their chicken are nicer and their bean sprout got bigger ass.

The best thing to eat with the chicken is their smooth Hor Fun. If you are at Lou Wong, don't forget to try their pork and fish balls too! Don't eat too much though, it contains a lot of MSG, later your hair all fall off become a monk.

SOYA BEAN AND TAU HU HUA

FUNNY MOUNTAIN

According to Wei Shin, Funny Mountain's Soya Bean and Tau Hu Hua became famous after an article written on Star Sunday. It's so famous that there is always a small traffic jam in front of the shop.

Personally after I tried it, I think is ok ok only, not different from any other stall except it's very sweet. Drink this five cup a day and ants will be drinking your pee soon. But Vern said it's very nice though, in the end, it's all about personal preference.

Go and try it and see if it fits your taste. Here a tip, if you are not in a hurry, I advice you to eat and drink there because take away is much more expensive.

BEEF AND PORK BALLS, POPIAH, PORK SATAY, CHICKEN SLICE HOR FUN

THEAN CHUN

This hidden gem is situated somewhere behind a backalley near Padang Ipoh, not easy to find unless you have GPS.

This is one of the most successful and satisfied food hunt I had. All four good food served at the same place. All of them are superb.

The beef and pork noodles are very bouncy, but not as bouncy as Penang's. The beef balls are added with ginger to remove the smell.

The pork satay too is very nice. Reminds me of those served at Hui Sing Garden in Kuching, but this one is not served hot. Still nice though.

The popiah is one of the food you must try. It is fully packed with tauge and everything popiah should have. It's freaking huge and it's freaking delicious! By the way, the popiah can be bought at the shop next door.

For the Chicken Slice Hor Fun, it resembles Sarawak Laksa but with different soup. The hor fun is smooth, the prawn is fresh and the chicken slice is yummy!

If you ever come to Ipoh, please come here, asked the local if you are not sure how to go.

SALTED CHICKEN
AUN KHENG LIM

This is another signature dish of Ipoh. There are a lot of salted chicken sold here but only Aun Kheng Lim is the most delicious.

You can only take away the salted chicken because they don't serve dine in. When you want to eat the chicken, do prepare rice or noodle and drinks cause the chicken like the name suggested is very salty.

I tried for the sake of trying. I don't think I will try it the second time. Too salty for me!

DIM SUM

FOH SAN

The dim sum sold at Foh San is so good that if you come later than 7 o'clock, you probably won't be able to find a seat already.

The dim sum is very fresh and tasty but not very special from the dim sum I eat at other place. The dim sum is just like those sold at 2020 in Miri but much more expensive.

Recommended for those who have curious taste buds. Not for those who hunt for good dim sum.

CLAYPOT RICE

K10 AT BERCHAM

Here's another place you have to wait 45 min to 1 hour for your food. The place here is so crowded that getting a seat is already a problem.

Then you have to wait another hour just for the food. Please do not wait until you hungry then come here. This is one of the best claypot rice I have eaten before.

Come here is a must!

HOR FUN KAP LIEW

TAI SHU GEOK

Ask any Ipoh people where is Tai Shu Geok or literal translation of Under the Big Tree, majority of them will tell you here. That shows how famous the kap liew is.

Kap Liew are basically fried food ranges from fried wantan, fried tauhu to yau cha kuey. They also have Yong Tau Hu too! All of them are crispy and delicious. Add with their silky smooth hor fun, you will have a very satisying meal already.

You will probably see one stall in a gated area and another stall outside, according to my friend, both of them are the same. So no worries which one is pirated and which one is original.

ICE KACANG

WAI SEK KAI NEAR SAM TET PRIMARY SCHOOL

This is another ice kacang I love after Penang one. It adds all kinds of fruit plus an ice cream on the top. Very suitable for hot afternoon in tropical Malaysia.

There are two versions, one is the normal type and another is the special type. The special type is the one with all the fruits, I will recommend you to try that.

WAN TAN MEE

SHOP AT MENGLEMBU

There is one shop in Menglembu famous for selling Wan Tan Mee, ask the locals, they should know. Anyway, for me, it's just plain average, nothing special. Period.

HONEY CHICKEN

STALL AT MENGLEMBU

This is one of the hidden food in Menglembu that need more publicity. There is one stall during Pasar Malam selling Honey Chicken. It's very nice and very delicious. The meat is tender and the honey gravy is just exceptional. I gave the leftover to a stray dog and before I knew it, the dog finish leaking the whole thing already. It's that good! Go and try it, if I am not wrong, the Pasar Malam is during Saturday night.

Tanjung Tualang

LIME JELLY SODA

RESTAURANT AT TANJUNG TUALANG

This drink is very special and unique, you won't find it anywhere else. I discover this by accident, I just tell her show me what you got. And she recommend me this.

The bottom is very nice, got vanilla flavor. Then there is a layer of jelly floating on top with squeezed lime on top. Not sure you should mix it or not but anyway I drink it layer by layer and it's very tasty.

CRISPY CHICKEN NUGGET

RESTAURANT AT TANJUNG TUALANG

The Tauke Niong say this is one of their most famous food. Fine. I order one dish. It's actually crispy boneless chicken. Very crispy indeed but seriously nothing special.

Maybe you can try it once just for the sake of trying.

BUTTER PRAWN

RESTAURANT AT TANJUNG TUALANG

This is another one of the recommendation of Tauke Niong. She say this is one of their signature dish wor.

This is a must try because the prawns are very freshly caught from the fish tank outside their restaurant. The texture and taste of fresh and frozen prawns varies greatly.

Their butter prawns are nicely cooked. It very delicious. Seems like the Tauke Niong didn't cheat me huh.

PAKU PAKIS WITH BELACAN

RESTAURANT AT TANJUNG TUALANG

This dish might not be special for Sarawakian because we have this dish long before Brooke come to "stay" with us. Anyway, it's very rare to find paku pakis dish in West Malaysia.

The paku pakis is fried with belacan, the smell is damn nice. The taste is also very nice. If you never eat paku pakis before, you must try theirs.

Kampar

CURRY CHICKEN BREAD

KAM LING/ YAU KEE

Just like Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken, there are two rivals who are famous selling Curry Chicken Bread. Yau Kee is the original founder and their bread is nice however word has that the curry chicken for Kam Ling is nicer. So it all depend on your taste bud. Why not try both of them just like a true food hunter?

CHEE CHEONG FUN

SHOP AT KAMPAR NEW TOWN

This is Kampar version of Chee Cheong Fun, empty and only added with some sesame. This sauce is very nice though but overall I think it loses to their Teluk Intan cousins.

Bidor

DUCK NOODLES

PUN CHUN

This should be the best Duck Noodles around. Locals says the other shop is nicer but seriously, I think this one is good enough for me already. The crowd at their shop can proof how famous they are already. People going pass the highway here will sure stop here every single time to dine. The herbal soup is damn nice and the meat is so soft that a single bite into the duck meat, the whole flesh will come out easily. Probably because the meat has been cooked for hours. Anyway, if you have chance to pass by here, don't forget to try it!

YAM CHAR SIEW

PUN CHUN

The same shop selling Duck Noodles also sell Yam Char Siew which is very crispy outside, then there is the fragrant smell of yam and in the core is the deliciously, mouth watering char siew. This is also a must try if you pass by here.
